I wish you'd asked her how often artist turn her down for using their work on GA - if ever.
Is there anyone out there who can provide me with the name of the band whose song is the first when her she shuffles her iPod? The name sounds like Cosmicomes, or Casma Combs or something completely different, I can't figure it out but I really like the sound of the track.
Hi Andro -- the track you're looking for is by Cass McCombs. It's from an album that was unreleased at the time of our show. Her most recent album (released October 2007) is called "Dropping the Writ." Although I'm not sure if the track on Alex's iPod is on that CD, the sound you're looking will be!
