Olafur Eliasson (Erin Davis)

Cityside Waterfalls

Danish art star Olafur Eliasson wanted to reconnect New Yorkers with their waterfront. At a cost of $15 million, Eliasson has designed four massive waterfalls, ten stories high, in New York Harbor. He took Studio 360's Pejk Malinovski on a boat ride to inspect them before the water started falling.

For me, this is a waste of time. If others appreciate it, ok, but I think this project has very little value, similiar to the orange sheets in Central Park. Thankfully tax dollars were not used.

I believe in public art sparking dialog. Although I believe that more could have been done with this particular project, I am glad it is happening. I also think it is encouraging environmentally that a temporary project like this can happen.

BOAT WASH???

LIKE

CAR WASH

Still appreciate the business it is bringing to

the city.

Instead of Steel Pipes if a transparent material would have been used i am sure it would have totally looked different.

Volume of water should have been more too.

Still Great Work

Thanks.
